The terms, in plain English.

1. About these terms

These terms of service (the “Terms”) apply to your use of the LaserPeak Spa website at laserpeak.vercel.app, to booking through the linked Jane App page, and to your visit to our studio at 6036 3 St SW, Calgary. By using the site, booking a treatment, or visiting the studio, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms work alongside our privacy policy. If anything in these Terms conflicts with a written treatment consent form you sign in the studio, the treatment consent form controls for that treatment.

2. Who can use our services

Our services are intended for adults aged eighteen (18) or older. Treatments for clients under eighteen are accepted only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must be present at the appointment.

Some treatments are not safe for everyone. We may decline a treatment, refer you to your physician, or change the plan if we believe a treatment is not in your interest. The reasons include but are not limited to: certain medications, recent or planned sun exposure, active skin conditions, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and any condition listed as a contraindication on the relevant treatment page.

3. The information on this site

The treatment, equipment, and pricing pages on this site are provided for general information. They are not medical advice and do not create a clinician–patient relationship before your in-person consultation. What is right for your skin is decided together at your consultation.

We work hard to keep the site accurate, but we may update content, fix typos, change prices, add or remove services without notice. The information that controls is the information given to you at your appointment.

4. Health information and your duty to disclose

Safe treatment depends on you answering intake questions truthfully and keeping us up to date if anything changes between visits — for example, new prescriptions, supplements, antibiotics, retinoids, recent waxing or threading, recent sun or tanning-bed exposure, pregnancy, a new diagnosis, or a recent vaccination.

If you choose not to disclose relevant information you accept responsibility for the consequences of treatment delivered on the basis of what we were told.

5. Results vary

Laser hair removal, laser skin rejuvenation, laser vein removal, BioRePeel, cryotherapy, microneedling, and facials all produce results that depend on your skin, hair, health, lifestyle, age, and aftercare. Outcomes shown in photographs on this site or on social media reflect individual results and are not a promise of what you will experience.

We will explain expected outcomes, the number of sessions typically required, and known risks at your consultation. We do not guarantee any specific result.

6. Booking, cancellation, late arrival, and no-show

• Bookings are placed through Jane App at laserpeakspa.janeapp.com or by phone at (403) 874-7144.
• Please give us at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Bookings cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, and no-shows, may be charged a fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of the booked treatment, at our discretion.
• Please arrive five (5) minutes before your start time. If you arrive more than ten (10) minutes late we may need to shorten or reschedule your appointment to protect the schedule of the next client.
• Patch tests, where required, are scheduled separately and must be completed in advance of the first full treatment.

7. Pricing, payment, packages, and refunds

Current prices are listed on our price list and inside Jane App. All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes unless stated.

Packages (for example, three-session protocols for Laser Toning, Lentigo, or Rosacea, and BioRePeel series) must be completed within twelve (12) months of purchase unless we agree otherwise in writing. Packages are non-transferable and non-refundable once a session in the package has been delivered, but unused sessions may be applied to a different treatment of equal or greater value at our discretion.

Refunds for single sessions not yet delivered are available at our discretion. Service fees, late-cancellation fees, and no-show fees are not refundable.

8. Conduct in the studio

We provide a calm, professional space. We may decline service or end an appointment without refund if behaviour towards staff or other clients is abusive, threatening, intoxicated, or otherwise unsafe.

9. Photographs of you

Treatment photographs are taken only with your written consent and used to track your progress. We may ask for a separate, specific written consent to use a photograph in marketing (website, social media, printed materials). Marketing consent can be withdrawn at any time by writing to laserpeakspa@gmail.com. On withdrawal we will remove the photograph from materials we control within a reasonable time. 10. Site content and intellectual property

The text, photographs, illustrations, and design of this site are owned by LaserPeak Spa or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may share links to pages and quote short excerpts with credit. You may not reproduce the site or its photographs in bulk, frame the site inside another commercial product, or use any element of the site to imply endorsement.

11. Links to other sites

The site contains links to third-party services we rely on, including Jane App for bookings, Google Maps for the studio map, and our social-media profiles. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of those services. When you click an external link you leave this site and the third party’s own terms apply.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law, the information on this site is provided “as is” without warranty. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or your decision to book a treatment based on the site’s general information.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded under Alberta consumer protection law, the federal Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act, the federal Competition Act, or any other applicable law, and nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

For treatments delivered in the studio, liability is governed by the written consent forms you sign for that treatment, by the standard of care applicable to a Calgary-area laser and skin practice, and by Alberta law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify LaserPeak Spa against losses, claims, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law in connection with the site, or your misrepresentation of health information that we relied on in providing treatment, except where the loss is caused by our negligence.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes took effect. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for a reasonable period.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply in Alberta. You and we agree that the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, the site, or services delivered in the studio, except where mandatory consumer-law rules require otherwise.
